Starting in Athens the islands directly south are the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea, they seem to be making a come back with Mykonos being the current place to be. With islands like Andros, Tinos, Santorini, Kynthos, Sikinos, Sifnos, again lots of opportunities for your itinerary, it is renowned for the Meltemi wind which is at its strongest in the afternoon and usually dies down at night but has been known to blow for days. The islands are known for their beautiful sandy beaches, ancient ruins, rugged landscapes and of course, the traditional houses with white walls and blue roofs overlooking the sea.
The Saronic coast is becoming increasingly popular as it benefits from the mainland partial shelter from the Meltemi wind, with islands including Poros, Hydra and Spetzes you can island hop up and down the coast.
Athens, home to the famous Acropolis is also a fantastic destination to begin your charter. With direct access to both the Saronic coast and the Cyclades islands you’ll be spoilt for choice.
