Mayrilou & Christina Too
Sunreef 68 motor catamarans
Having visited both these on different days as I was worried I might confuse the two! However, I was surprised how different they were and not just in the hull colour.
Christina Too Mayrilou
These two yachts are both apartments on the water. Standing in the dock you cannot miss that Mayrilou has a garage full of water sports, like looking in a shop window full of delights! Heading up the stairs onto the deck the main structure looks less square than it does on the dock. The saloon has bright royal blue sofas which convert into an inside dining area and you have a wonderful view out the rear patio door onto the sofa. Unlike the more common catamaran there is no exterior dining on this level. I also loved the master cabin which too is on this level, it looks forward and you get the most wonderful views to wake up to. The galley is also on this level and nicely open plan so you can see what your daily delights will be whilst in another corner stands the bar.

There are stairways, one each side, to take you down to the guest accommodation in the hulls. Both sides having two guest cabins with en-suite that can convert into twin or double cabins. We then head upstairs to the flybridge / top deck. This is where the main dining area is, you have a wonderful view whilst the dock provides you a lovely bit of privacy from onlookers. As well as the huge table there is a grill to the side, the helm station and in front of that a sunbathing area out in the sun but with awnings that can be put out if needed.

Coming back down we head on to the fordeck / front of the yacht. Also unlike traditional catamarans there are no trampolines – instead this area is now a huge deck space with sofa sun beds and jacuzzi. Her exterior upholstery is grey with teal cushions.

Heading into Christina Too with her turquoise hull I was wondering what her interior styling would deliver. The saloon was very different to Mayrilou, a neutral interior with bright cushions was pleasing to the eye. A sofa area, separate dining table and galley take up the whole level and again there are stairways either side to the guests accommodation, with two cabins each side.
Each of the cabins has a theme colour to go with the neutral tones and that colour is themed through the boat for your towels and water bottles. Heading outside and upstairs to the top deck the same large exterior dining area, grill, helm and sun cushions as Mayrilou are present. Heading back down and forward to the front deck, it’s the same sunbed sofas and jacuzzi – who wouldn’t want them on their foredeck!? Christina Too’s exterior cushions are striped in neutral colours a modern twist on the traditional navy and white stripes. Christina Too’s garage was also brimming with toys.
